xoox
Hi. I've just installed OpenOffice 1.0.2 from cooker. Here are my problems: I can't see any footnote numbers in the text. But they appear in front of the footnote itself (on the bottom of the page). I also can't get a proper preview. I just see some grey bars. And I have some problems with bulllets (the round or square enumeration characters). Can anyone help me with these problems. I would like to use OO 1.0.2 instead of 1.0.1 because 1.0.1 has some real bugs. But this seems to be even worse... Thanks for any help
DragonMage
Can you post screenshots so we can see what the problem looks like exactly? I mean, I have a feeling this could be Xft or freetype issue.
xoox
OK. Here are some screenshots: enumeration: footnote: preview: Does OO.org 1.0.2 requires different versions of Xft or freetype than 1.0.1? With OO.org 1.0.1, there were no problems in this regard. Guest anon
Have the same problem, only worse. Think you will just have to wait for a update from cooker.
xoox
OK. It works now. You were right, DragonMage! I got the latest Xft and freetype2 packages from texstar and now it just looks like before. Thank you! @anon: the packages from texstar work better for me than the ones in the cooker. You can find them here: ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distribut...ndrake/9.0/KDE/
