hans796
Hi :D I'm running mandriva 2005. KDE. In the install face I made a seperate partition /mp3 where I want to put my music. I noticed that I can't access it as regular user, how can I solve that? I checked out fstab and could not see any difference between /home (it lies on a seperate partion to and /mp3). Noob greetz
devries
Do you use kde? Open a console, log in as root and type: konqueror. Browse to /, rightclick mp3, choose properties, permissions. Change the user to <your username>.

AussieJohn
To rapidroller. To place icons on your desktop you only needed to open KDE Control Centre ------------> Look&Feel ----------------> Behavior and placed a tick (cross) in .....Show icons on desktop . Click apply. Welcome to MUB. Note: It is really worthwhile going through KCC and learning what it does. It is not hard but it does save you a lot of time later I can assure you. The same applies to MCC (Mandriva Control Centre). Cheers. John
