MottS
There was a couple of posts on the nihil forum about X freezing. In fact, X freezes as well as the keyboard. You can't CTRL-ALT-Backspace because the keyboard is not responding. It seems to be an AMD problem according to that web site http://cleveland.lug.net/~ken/amd-problem/ I have a Duron 1300. Does Intel guys have that problem too ? MottS

Guest Phat Penguin
Not disputing there is a problem but ... my system is currently running Mandrake 9.0 (2.4.20-1mdk kernel), AMD 900 chip (Thunderbird), 384mb ram, 32mb TNT2 graphic card with the 4191 NVidia drivers and is rock solid ..... I did have lockup problems after installing NVidia drivers - but a tweak of the AGP setting saw that right.
