I am looking for wi-fi options but I want the hardware to natively support linux. I want a pcmcia since I am running a laptop. Any Idea which ones are Mandriva friendly?

I find that the Prism 2 cards are the easiest to use in Mandrake 10.x and Mandriva. They are older cards, but do not require the headaches of ndiswrapper.

The card I use is about 21/2 years old and is no longer in stores, but perhaps you could locate one for sale via Google.

It is a Linksys WPC11 ver. 3. It is important to get version 3, because version 4 and newer are not prism 2.

I'm sure that others with more current cards that are still in stores may be of better help if you don't find the one I mention.

Wishing you best of luck!

Richard
