sallam
greetings I'm using mandriva le2005 and windows xp how can i change the default booting operating system, from linux to windows? currently, If i dont do anything, the computer boots in linux. I want to change that so that it boots in windows instead, without having to be there to manually choose windows. how please? also, where is 'help' while in linux? in windows, help and search are always there in the start button menu. Where are those, in linux please?
ramfree17
i am presuming that you have lilo as your bootloader (you can double check this when you boot your computer, or else it is grub). the GUI way is to start mandrake control center and navigate into the boot section and change the default to windows. alternatively, you can checkout the bootloaders section of our faq. this should give you hints on how to do that in the command line. ciao!
