Lärs
Could somebody help me get Final Fantasy VIII working with Wine? When I run ff8config, it says that Final Fantasy needs a Windows-95 compatible Midi device. When I run FF8.exe, it makes a lot of noise and nothing happens. Any suggestions? joaopa
Maybe with cedega it would work?
SoulSe
Yeah, Cedega is the best bet - checkout http://www.transgaming.com/ There is also a free CVS version of it, but it lacks some of the fruity goodness that makes the subscriber version rock. Lowe
My friend is sending me FFVIII today, and i have cedega so i'll try it out and tell you if it works. That way you don't waste money. :)
zero0w
I am curious if it could be configured to work on WINE/Cedega too. Since FF VI/ FF VIII won't work on Windows XP I gather Linux is the only viable solution - as there's no way I would go back to Windows 98 :-D .
