eroica Posted June 15, 2005 Report Share Posted June 15, 2005 hello, recentlly installed SAMBA on my mandrake 9.1 machine and am trying to print using printer attached to windows xp machine. i've gotten as far as i can see shares on SAMBA server from explorer and can log into windows server see output: root@Thinkpad eroica]# smbclient '\\DELL8400\Downloads' added interface ip=192.168.1.101 bcast=192.168.1.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 Got a positive name query response from 192.168.1.100 ( 192.168.1.100 ) Password: Domain=[CARRIER] OS=[Windows 5.1] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager] smb: \> dir . D 0 Sat May 21 13:22:49 2005 ..
