co
Hi guys, Bought a Compaq amd64 (sr1440uk) on Sunday. Installed LE2005x64. The problem is the clock is going too fast. It's gaining about two hours per hour. In the bios the clock is fine. Any ideas?? Cheers, co
ianw1974
I don't use x64, but have you applied all updates to LE2005 since the install? Can be found in System/Configuration/Packaging. I've applied all Normal/Security/Bug Fixes.

ianw1974
Did the system run previously with, eg:Windows, without any probs with the clock? Have you checked the Compaq website, to see if there's anything noted about clock problems and perhaps a BIOS update?
daniewicz
In the bios the clock is fine. Sounds like an OS problem, not hardware. Any 64 bit folks out there?

scarecrow
Enter the BIOS, and if you find there any enabled values for FSB Spread Spectrum and/or AGP spread spectrum disable them. I have encountered this thing in the past, although exclusively on Nforce2 mainboards. It seems ATI is following suit? :P
