null
A few days ago I bought one of these things at a local shop. I bought it with the intent of using the audio-in to connect the rca phono cables from my turntable to (with an RCA to mini-plug cable). I am in the process of burning all my LP collection to CD. I have been doing the burning with a CD recording deck from Sony, which is connected to my receiver, which is connected to my turntable. Anyway, I also want to learn how to do it on my computer (my turntable has a built-in pre-amp that I can use if I connect it directly to a computer). So my question is, does this external sound work as expected under mandriva 2005. I have not opened the S-B package yet, and I still have a few days of my 14-day "return" privilege left, if I decide to take it back. thanks for any info on this external usb sound gizmo. devries
Disclaimer: no personal experience. It should work ok. It uses the snd-usb-audio module (driver, sort off). It is plug 'n play in Mandriva.
raysr
Did you get it to work? I have one also and haven't been able to get to work.
