It also leaves a thin black line. Kristi asked for info from xorg.conf. here is the data from /etc/X11/xorg.conf on the mouse Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Mouse1" Driver "mouse" Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2" Option "Device" "/dev/psaux" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection my mouse is: logitech coordless mouseman optical is there a patch for this problem by any chance? When you start up Linux, I believe you have a button on your mouse, or your receiver that you can push to establish/re-establish connection. Try playing with that...
