windowsXP. any mouse movement after restarting from XP moves the mouse pointer straaight up or down in the middle of the linlus screen. It also leaves a thin black line. Kristi asked for info from xorg.conf.

here is the data from /etc/X11/xorg.conf on the mouse

Section "InputDevice"

Identifier "Mouse1"

Driver "mouse"

Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"

Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"

Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

EndSection

my mouse is:

logitech coordless mouseman optical

is there a patch for this problem by any chance?

Thanks - I don't see anything but hopefully some guru here will!

When you start up Linux, I believe you have a button on your mouse, or your receiver that you can push to establish/re-establish connection. Try playing with that...
