immoral giant
I'm pretty much a n00bie to linux. I have got as far as installing ndiswrapper with no problems. But i have no idea how to install the driver for my card. I have taken the driver off the CD i got with the card but cannot install it. How do i install the driver properly?? adamw
Make sure ndiswrapper package is installed. Then, as root: ndiswrapper -i filename.inf modprobe ndiswrapper drakconnect (configure network card)
immoral giant
I have done that, driver installs fine. But when i do modprobe it just pauses for a second or two and says nothing. Then when i do drakconnect it comes up with the configuration but ive tried all the broadcom drivers on the list and it just asks what driver again. Qchem
After inserting the module take a look at the output of dmesg, the last few lines should hopefully provide some clues - post them here if you'd like us to take a look at them. Qchem
Sorry. Just type dmesg in a terminal window after you've done the modprobe part.
