Hi all,

i was reading today on the official site of Mandriva and then went to Errata, and saw this :

ssh-agent does not start automatically in KDE

* Install Gnupg2 and after all will work well

How to mail with correct encryption using KMail

* Install Gnupg2 and after all will work well

should i do this? Do i need it? does this will make my System more secure?

Greetings,

ssh-agent is just a graphical front end afaik.

GnuPG2 is actually a 1.9.x version, so it would be considered a beta"ish :P That will keep your e-mail more "secure" if you encrypt it, not your system.

ssh-agent isn't exactly a graphical frontend, it's an ssh 'keyring'; if you type 'ssh-add' at a console it will ask for your ssh key passphrase then store it for the remainder of your session so you don't have to enter it every time you ssh somewhere.
