FreeEagle Posted May 10, 2005 Share Posted May 10, 2005 Hi all, i was reading today on the official site of Mandriva and then went to Errata, and saw this : ssh-agent does not start automatically in KDE * Install Gnupg2 and after all will work well How to mail with correct encryption using KMail * Install Gnupg2 and after all will work well should i do this? GnuPG2 is actually a 1.9.x version, so it would be considered a beta"ish :P That will keep your e-mail more "secure" if you encrypt it, not your system. adamw Posted May 18, 2005 Share Posted May 18, 2005 ssh-agent isn't exactly a graphical frontend, it's an ssh 'keyring'; if you type 'ssh-add' at a console it will ask for your ssh key passphrase then store it for the remainder of your session so you don't have to enter it every time you ssh somewhere.
