RedTurtle
im probably being a bit dumb on this but, i've downloaded a couple of KDE icon themes and i can't get them installed. In the site they say to go at KDE Look n'Feel>Icons>install new theme, but there is no 'theme' file to choose from, just some readmes and the actual icon files. I hope i dont have to install and configure them inb the right place one by one? :?
MottS
I would copy the icon directory you just downloaded into $HOME/.kde/share/icons first. Then open the KDE control center and follow Look n'Feel>Icons. At the bottom of this page, there is a button. Click it and browse to where you put you new icons directory. The new icon theme should then appear in the list. Hope that help MOttS
RedTurtle
Thanks MottS, i thought of trying that, but somehow i had the feeling it wouldn't work, it did afterall :D
paul
hey redturtle. it even easier than that .... DON"T un-tar the icon theme when you go to kcontrol->icon->install new theme ... use the .tar.gz really simple :-)
