How to Change Display Size & Refresh Rates?

I have an ATI Radeon 9550, when I go to change the display I get the attached message - thx for any help!

Try with:

Option "RandR" "on"

 

in /etc/Xorg/xorg.conf under section serverflags.

Hmmm didn't see anything under there that said that - see attached image. Any other ideas?

Here is the rest of what I have under the xorg.config if it helps = }

You have to manually edit xorg.conf. Just open your favorite text editor and copy/paste that line. (this is linux :). but always make a back up before you start editing)

 

PS. No need to take screenshots. Just use copy and paste it to your webbrowser or make a copy and rename it xorg.conf.txt and upload it to the board.

I did what you said and still no change. Here is what I did:

 

Section "ServerFlags"
   #DontZap # disable <Crtl><Alt><BS> (server abort)
   #DontZoom # disable <Crtl><Alt><KP_+>/<KP_-> (resolution switching)
   Option "RandR" "on"
   AllowMouseOpenFail # allows the server to start up even if the mouse does not work
