shaner Posted June 7, 2005 Report Share Posted June 7, 2005 Ok, I got it. Somehow whatever I was editing was not the real smb.conf file. I don't understand what I did, but somehow I was editing some bogus smb.conf file. I found the real one, /etc/samba/smb.conf and deleted everything in it. Deleted swat that had completely overwritten everything, and really confused me. I re-ran the sharing thing in the MCC and now it works. I installed the printer on the XP box, and everything is great! A BIG THANKS TO: Polemicz for hanging in there with me, and being patience with us newbies! Thanks all that helped!
