printing from windows to linux connected printer

Hi.

I'm trying to get my one remaining windows box, and my vmware virtual machine to be able to print to my printer connected to my linux box. I have samba configured to share the printer, via the drakwizard samba module, and can see it in network neighboorhood fine, I also can browse to the home directoy of the connected user, if I type in the directory (ie it isn't displayed, but is accessible).

Problem is that when I try to add the printer to windows it goes okay, but once the printer is added I can't print to it, in the printer control panel I get a little red message: "Access denied, unable to connect".

seeing that I have access to files, I can't figure out what I need to do to allow access to the printer.

thanks for any help.

Hate to reply to myself, but this might help others

I got my stuff working, not sure exactly what it was, but I added the following to smb.conf:

use client driver = yes the Global section

and also added guest ok =yes to the printers section,

and finally changed the print command to:

print command = lpr -P %p -o raw %s -r

now everything is working both from vmware and a windows box.
