reflection666
Thanks, but dont I have to edit device, monitor, screen and server layout sections?
devries
No, only section device.
adamw
You don't need "TRUE" after TwinView and RenderAccel; they're not booleans. Just "Option" "TwinView" is fine. I found I had to tell the Screen section the correct virtual resolution when I was running dual monitors (1824x768, or whatever), but YMMV. iphitus
And it's /etc/X11/xorg.conf now not /etx/X11/XF86Config
coverup
Does anybody have "twin view" working with ATI's fglrx? I have seen many reports that this should work, but I could not get it working, no matter what. I have an LCD screen 1400x1050 and an external 1280x1024@75Hz LCD TFT monitor connected to the port replicator's DVI output (the laptop has only VGA output). As you can imagine, Windows does not have problems with this setup. I can get the external screen to work when I start X with Option "DesktopSetup" "0x00000100" Option "MonitorLayout" "TMDS, AUTO" but never can get two screens to show the same content. reflection666
And it's /etc/X11/xorg.conf now not /etx/X11/XF86Config <{POST_SNAPBACK}> On MDK 10.1? But all the editing I do (keyboard, mouse, screen) is on XF86Config... And everything (xcept nvidia twinview) works. ???
adamw
well, on 10.1, they're symlinks (I think xorg.conf is a symlink to XF86Config, but it might be the other way around), so it doesn't really matter which one you point your editor at :)
VeeDubb
Too right adamw, and it's xorg.conf that's the symlink on my system. XF86Config is the real file, even after updating to thac's kde3.4 and the new x .org that came with it.
adamw
It's the other way around on 2005. Later on we'll probably dump the XF86Config symlink, just like there's no XF86Config-4 anymore.
