Guest danjwalker
I have an issue with Mandrake 10.1 I have a basic (raw, not messed with) install of Mandrake. I fixed the mouse issue where it would not find my ps2 mouse, was looking for dev/mouse instead of dev/psaux. The problem I now have, is the mouse is moving fine, but nothing happens. I get the blue screen like the boot up one, but no program or login screen happens. I press control alt F1 to get a text based login screen and log in. I looked at the logs. There are no EE and any WW in the logs are ok. This is the first time I have used anything like this and what I have done so far is guess work from previous work in FC2, which I used for a week! Please, any suggestions? Thanks
devries
Log in as root and type: XFdrake. Then edit your monitor settings and try again. (by typing startx).
arctic
are you trying to log into an old account (one you had e.g. with fedora before?) in this case, remove all config files from your home directory. this should work, if it is not a XFdrake issue, as mentioned by devries.
