No updates this year! [SOLVED]

I've not had any updates since just after Christmas, which seems very odd. I've tried all the tips I could find on the board:

 

1) rpm --rebuilddb

 

2) urpmi.update -a -f

 

3) change FTP sources and update

 

Point 3) got me one update - for kwifimanager - but that still seems a bit low for over a fortnight.

 

Any ideas what else could be wrong, or is Mandy just really being this quiet lately?

hmmm... i had quite a few updates... some 30 packages or so on my box. are you sure that you updated your repositories and ran urpmi --auto-select afterwards?

Yep, that's always the way I check for new updates - though I did try it through the GUI as well and it was the same.

 

Just out of interest, what source are you using?

 

I swapped between ftp.esat.net and sunsite.co.uk (have done this a few times)

Try this one;

urpmi -v --update --media update-source

Not much output there either.

 

[root@localhost robin]# urpmi -v --update --media updates
examining synthesis file [/var/lib/urpmi/synthesis.hdlist.updates.cz]

Try starting from scratch then.

urpmi.removemedia -a

Then add your sources again.

try my servers: ftp:gwdg.de (goettingen, germany). they always worked .

Well... hell, that's more like it.

 

Did a full remove and switched to the Goettingen repos - now I've got 100 packages (~480MB) to DL.
