polemicz
I've just installed 10.1 which seems to be pretty well functioning with one exception (I have also applied all the updates): when I click on a link in an email evolution will not open up the web page in my browser (I have set firefox as my default). It is not an issue of kde file associations. Am I the only person who has had this problem? Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
devries
Evolution is not a KDE program. Maybe you should change the file-associationit in Evolution itself.
iphitus
Run: gnome-default-applications-properties and set firefox as your browser there. Enjoy iphitus
polemicz
H tried that, setting the default to firefox and it didn't work. I then set it to mozilla and presto it works. Thanks.
bvc
H tried that, setting the default to firefox and it didn't work. I then set it to mozilla and presto it works. Thanks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that's because gnome-default-applications-properties has been rather weird lately and doesn't always work. So you have to also open GConf Editor (gconf-editor from cli)>desktop>gnome>applications>browser>and set it there

Guest jscalbny
Just ran across this thread. I've made the change with GConf Editor to have firefox be the defualt, but clicking links in evolution still won't start a browser. Any suggestions?
