Hi all. I am a complete noob to linux in general and I have a question.

I have both DSL and Cable modem access and I want to be able to connect both of those connections to my firewall. I also have two lan segments, 192.168.1.x/24 and 172.16.31.x/16. I want 192.168.1.x to go thru the cable modem and 172.16.31.x to go through DSL. I have tried it with Novell Boarder manager with no success, Microsoft's ISA (can do it with a $3000 add-on). I was wondering if MNF can do this out of the box, with caching and packet filtering. If so i think that I found my project for the next couple of weeks.

Thanks,

Victor Hodges

It is definatly do-able... much configuration will have to take place from your side though... hmmm yes...

No idea what you'd use either...

try combination squid and squidguard i guess could work... otherwise... no idea...!!
