Ok, so I decided after seeing screenshots of highly configed fluxbox that it was a must have. I'm using idesktop so I can use icons on my desktop but I have a few other questions.

If anyone can help with any of these, it would be much appreciated.

how can I get gkrellm to display on every desktop?

how can I get gnome's afterstep clock running as a dock icon? or in the slit?

How do I get things to autostart when flux starts?

thanks in advance.

run it on the slit, as gkrellm -w

Read the whole thread at club-nihil (and save it if matters since it will soon disapear):

As far as I know, with the same -w. I believe that's how WindowMaker applets are run. Sorry I don't have the specifics but;

you can add the remember patch from http://bugfactory.org/~gav/fluxbox and it can autostart apps for you as well as remember things like window position and size. all you have to do is add a submenu called startup and any program you put in there will autostart. i think the man page has more info on that.

idesk > /dev/null &

Esetroot -s /stuff/PICS/DIGIMAGEZ/extraordinary.jpg &

gkrellm -w &

3ddeskd &

3desktop &

3desktop --aquire &
