Guest anon
In England, PC-PRO Magazine gave away a free CD of MandrakeMove. A woman who bought the mag for her husband but knows i use Linux, gave me the CD. Great! i thought. Its about time MDK and mags did something like this, it should get a lot more people to try Linux. Alas, no matter what i tried it couldn't find my usb mouse. What a pity eh? I wonder how many other people are going to find the same problem, and say " load of rubbish, won't be trying MDK any more".
Darkelve
Yeah, that's pretty bad... good thing a lot of people still use PS/2 though. Well... it's a small consolation.
arctic
i always wonder why e.g. mandrake has problems with usb-mice while e.g. knoppix does automatically detect all usb-devices that do come to my mind while e.g vidalinux does not detect any usb-stuff at all by default (tweaking-fun is at least included with distro :P). they (different developers) should open their mind a bit more imho in case they haven't already. :)
solarian
I second that! Most of my annoyance with Mandrake comes from poor USB support.
