Hi, im using mdk 10.1 CE for a while now and i am using the KDE desktop. KDE comes default with konqueror as the browser. I changed through the mcc the browser to mozilla, that is i can only enter something that konqueror represents itself as mozilla browser. Point is everytime i open a link in an email on a forum or whatever it is opened with konqueror and i would like it to be mozilla.

I searched this forum but could not locate anything to this subject, could anyone of you please point me in the good direction to solve this puzzle?

Thanks a million

to fill in Ix's blanks............ :P

go to Configure your Desktop (IE: KDE Kontrol Center). it's in kicker->system->configuration. go to components->file associations. type html in the "find file name pattern" box. click on the html entry. under the "general" tab, look down at "application preference order". Mozilla should be listed there. click on it, then click the "move up" button 'til it's at the top of the list. click "apply".

should Mozilla not be in the list, click the "add" button & browse to the Mozilla binary to add it. it's at /usr/bin/mozilla.

Gentlemen, I have mozilla as the default browser per the instructions on this thread, but my problem is when I click on a link in evolution email nothing happens; its a dead link. Even when I right click and choose open in link in browser. I have to open a browse and copy and paste the link.

any suggestions.

Thanks
