hello

i have a similar problem to adventurepants - posted on 12 oct 2004.

i have ibm r50 with intel wireless 2200 bg. i use mandrake 10.1

i currently have ndiswrapper 0.8 installed.

i got the ipw2200 driver but when i issue make i get the message:

[root@localhost ipw2200-0.10]# make

make -C /lib/modules/2.6.8.1-10mdk/build SUBDIRS=/tmp/ipw2200-0.10 MODVERDIR=/tmp/ipw2200-0.10

make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.8.1-10mdk/build: No such file or directory. Stop.

make: *** [modules] Error 2

should i install ndiswrapper 0.11 instead?

what shall i do?

i am lost

any help will be appreciated

You need to install the kernel-source (urpmi kernel-source. See the FAQ's for urpmi). Then try make again.

hello

thanks for your expert advice.

i tried to do what you wrote

root@localhost avimd]# urpmi kernel-source

To satisfy dependencies, the following 5 packages are going to be installed (205 MB):

gcc-3.4.1-3mdk.i586

glibc-devel-2.3.3-20mdk.i586

kernel-source-2.6-2.6.8.1-10mdk.i586

libgpm1-devel-1.20.1-11mdk.i586

libncurses5-devel-5.4-1.20040529.1mdk.i586

Is this OK? (Y/n) y

Please insert the medium named "Installation CD 3 (x86) " on device [/dev/hdc]
