Guest Chris:S
Whenever I turn on ACPI on boot (in the MCC - boot loader), mandrake gives a not connected message. Is there any way to prevent this?
a13x
I have the same problem. Is there a work around ? I need ACPI on because Gkrellm doesn't show the CPU, motherboard and hd temperature.
DragonMage
I'm going to put wild stab in this problem since ACPI always work for me. Now.. do you put the "noapic" and "nolapic" option in your /etc/lilo.conf? I find that the combination of acpi=on noapic nolapic always work on most computers. a13x
Yes it always works, BUT, it disables ACPI right ? And I need ACPI.
DragonMage
No acpi is still on. It's apic that is disabled. (note the difference between the two).
