gtk themes

Recommended Posts

I'm doing a new install of gentoo and I've used aluminum alloy before and I'm trying to get it working again. I installed gtk-engines so I would think I have what I need but apparantly I don't. I've previewed all the themes and they all look exactly the same. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

You sound just like cybrjackle!  :P

I only have 15

[root@localhost root]# ls /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/engines
libcleanice.la*     libhcengine.so*        libmist.so*       libsmooth.so*      libxfce.la*
libcleanice.so*     libindustrial.so*      libpixmap.la*     libsvg.so*         libxfce.so*
libcrux-engine.so*  liblighthouseblue.so*  libpixmap.so*     libthinice.so*
libflat.la*         libmetal.la*           libredmond95.la*  libwonderland.la*
libflat.so*         libmetal.so*           libredmond95.so*  libwonderland.so*

and I installed from source industrial and smooth. Yes smooth is in gnome-themes-extras but I needed newer, which btw the newest has just been released yesterday. Anyway, I don't know that 25 engines even exist. 20 maybe.
