JeroenM
Is it possible to install software for Mac OS X on linux? If so, is it straightforward or very hard to do? thanks Jeroen
arctic
i am not sure about that but i think it won't work.... there are emulators for windows based apps (like photoshop) but i doubt that there is an "adapter" for the macintosh version of photoshop. although osx is a *nix-operating system, macintosh still has the original software engine included, which runs programs like photoshop (that is actually: they are runnign on os9 while osx is there at the same time), as far as i know.... but i could be wrong. Edited September 27, 2004 by arctic
Michel
Dont know, but it won't run realy fast, since apple doesn't use x86-hardware like you probably know. Anyway, there is some popular emulator, but I can't remember it's name ... Anyway, there is also "qemu" which maybe can help you ..., but I don't use it, so I don't know what it needs ... But The support for macs is being worked on.
RuneJensen
The Windows version of Photoshop Elements works fine in Linux when using Wine 20040914, though it is still quite slow.
adamw
the MacOS emulator you're thinking of is PearPC. http://pearpc.sourceforge.net/
Qchem
The original poster didn't mention if they were running linux on x86 or ppc, if its the later try using mac-on-linux
