pmpatrick
Try stellarium. I beleive it's on the 9.1 install cds. It does include nebulas. It launches full screen; hit Esc to close it.

iphitus
<reminiscing> I remember when i was younger........ not that long ago at all for some of you, lol i'm only 14, I wanted a telescope. I once even tried looking out the window using binoculars!! After a while it lost it's appeal (i can hear some of you saying "what a pity") I might get one someday </reminiscing> James

Technonoid
Have any of you guys tried looking at mars yet ? I plan to as soon as I can. You know its closer to earth than in the past 30,000 to 50,000 years the astronomers say. I have been using xplns. Looks like I might try celestia.
