I have an Acer TravelMate 292 and Mandrake 10 running with Kernel 2.6.3 and I can't get the Agere Systems AC'97 Modem installed. I've already downloaded the drivers from smlink.com and I arrived to compile slmodem-2.9.10 without any error message. The problem is when I try to use it, I open kppp and I always receive the same answer while I query the modem ("The modem is busy") I don't know if after the compilation I have to do something else.
