Guest joehill
I installed Mandrake 9.0 awhile back and during the installation I cancelled out of the printer installation as I had forgotten to turn it on during detection and figured I would just install it after the install had completed. Since then I have not been able to get it set up to print. I have used the Mandrake CC to remove and reinstall the printer, but every time, though the printer is detected fine, it simply does not respond to print requests. I have tried both CUPS and PDQ, no dice for either. Is there some config file I can delete to start fresh? I have a feeling that there is some cfg somewhere that is sticking and won't let go. Ixthusdan
I had that problem a while back, with 8.1, I think, and I started using a cups print manager in the browser. Open any browser and type http://localhost:631 You can manage any aspect of printers from here, including adding new printers. It worked better for me than MCC.
