spiedra
It's available in rpm from either cooker or plf. That's the easiest way. I believe with Apollon, there is also another software you have to install which contains the libraries that Apollon needs to work. I believe it's called lib-apollon or something like that. LuNaTiC
Could you give me more information about cooker or plf? I tried 'urpmi apollon' but it doesn't seem to be the latest version. Thank you.
spiedra
Read the faq's regarding urpmi. Information about cooker and plf is available there. You'll find this will make installing software much easier. It will also walk you through adding ftp sources to urpmi. Thank you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> rpms are NEVER as new as source....that's why it's source. Apollon IS in plf or contrib...I think plf.
spiedra
Actually plf has the latest version of Apollon surprisingly. Usually it takes longer for the latest version to be available in rpm, but this time they jumped on it.

LuNaTiC
Actually plf has the latest version of Apollon surprisingly. Usually it takes longer for the latest version to be available in rpm, but this time they jumped on it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think you're mistaken, the latest version is 1.0b1 to clear things up. But I was wondering if someone could help me with the compile error I don't want to start installing rpm's everytime there's a little problem with a source. I'm a man of the source Any help is appreciated
devries
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.la: No such file or directory This is the error. You use the nvidia driver right? Open a console, log in as root and do ln -s /usr/lib/libGL.la /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.la Good luck.
