cmus
I recently had to do a fresh install of Mandrake 10.0 and now after booting there are no icons on my desktop and nothing happens when I right-click on it. I can't add anything to it either. I can run applications from the menu bar but the desktop ain't working. I'm running GNOME 2.4 Any suggestions for this newbie? bvc
in kde the rt-click menu is disable and so are icons on the desktop for a default root login. Not gnome though. Have you tried another user?
cmus
I just tried another user and nothing loads at all - just a blue screen and then it freezes.
bvc
what kind of network config do you have? Gnome can be really slow or disabled with a bad network config. Have you tried another de/wm? kde? icewm? blackbox? I mention those because they're on the cd's.
