guppetto
I've complied the latest and greatest versions of K3B and with each version I have the same problem. Each version won't decode MP3 files on the fly. Let me explain. Any time I try to burn a project composed of MP3 files I always get one of two errors. 1. Can't decode file. 2. Buffer underrun. If I create an image (which converts the files to wav files) I have absolutely no problems. I compiled K3b with the --with-mp3 option, and I always pass the driveropts=burnfree parameter, but still no luck. FLAC and every other MP3 decoded I could find has been installed and recognized by K3B.I never had this problem with K3B in the Mandrake 9 series. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on this matter?
Peppercorn
Hi guppeto Out of interest I tried burning a heap of mp3 and ogg files that I have been meaning to burn for ages using K3b. I had NO PROBLEMS!! Do you have the proper plugins for K3b installed?? this is just a guess on my part, but you need the audio plugins so K3b can convert the mp3 or ogg files for burning. I hope that this may help.
guppetto
Try Burning an audio project with MP3 files instead of a data disc (Simulate will suffice). If that works for you using Mandrake 10 please list the audio plugins that your speaking of.
solarian
K3B won't fast encode to mp3 sometimes for me when I put heaps of mp3 at once, but I have no problems if I do it 5 songs at a time or smthing like that. sometimes though it has no problems with 20 mp3 :-\ a bit weird if you ask me Edited August 22, 2004 by solarian
