Guest tcreek Posted December 17, 2002 Report Share Posted December 17, 2002 I have a MDk 8.2 as a server using connection sharing with 3 other computers. One of them is is MDk 8.1. I have been using DHCP for it to connect to the server. ETH0 no longer comes up with DHCP. I tried a static IP adress. It did come up but shows not connected. The connection is fine as the lights on the card and hub are on. The 2 other computers are not having any trouble at all obtaining a lease from the DHCPD. mtweidmann Posted December 17, 2002 Report Share Posted December 17, 2002 I had similiar soundin prblem once, turned out ot be a dodge cable. Try taking the cable from one of the working computers and using that to connect the machine. If it works, then you need a new cable.
