I made the move to MDK 10, and I have a vexing issue. When I try to listen to a streaming sound file that is real media, there is no sound if I have the realplayer selected as the application in Mozilla or firefox. Never was this an issue in any previous versions.

If I select totem as the application, I get sound sometimes....... http://www.jgutty.com/media/lville7_25_03a.ram

............sometimes it doesn't work at all......

I have an asus p4t533-c w/ AC97. I am using KDE, all seems normal otherwise.

I placed the .so file as suggested...no difference. The links that I referenced above both currently work in windoze, and it is every rm file I try, and they work in 9.2....so it must be a mdk 10 issue. Bummer. Thanks anyway.

Just to close this out....I went back to MDK 9.2. All works fine now. As an aside, 9.2 must be the best OS I have ever used. I liked 10 also, but there seems to be some issues a novice such as myself can't resolve.
