Guest XJJoe01
Hello All, I am new to Linux and I love it!! I have a few questions for you and I need some help. I currently run Exchange 2000 with about 50 clients. I would like to swap to a Linux based mail server. Here are my questions: 1. Is there any programs that will allow my to export my clients mailboxes, addresses, and everything else they have to the new mail server without losing anything? 2. Would this be really hard to a new Linux person? 3. Or, should I continue using Exchange 2000 and network the windows server using samba to be able to use web mail and continue using Exchange 2000? Thanks in advance!! Joe lawrenjl@yahoo.com
thayne
1) No 2) Depends, but it probably won't be easy at first. 3) Personally I wouldn't use exchange. I have a mail server set up that uses Qmail and Courior IMAP. It has webmail access as well as web based admin. It's a nice setup, but it took half a day to set it up and get it running right. It's been running 100% trouble free for 6 months now, it's awesome....
