Jet2k5 Posted July 20, 2004 Report Share Posted July 20, 2004 (edited) Ok what LiquidZoo has just told me is that we need to put the java executable into the /usr/bin First su to root and then do these commands: cd /usr/bin Then, rm java javac jar Then, ln -s /usr/java/j2<hit tab >/bin/java java Try to remove the old LimeWire we installed and try to install it again. Next, type exit to get back to your normal user, cd to where you downloaded LimeWire (or download it if you haven't) and issue the following command: sh LimeWire.bin That will install limewire for your normal user. It won't have an icon, but you can assign one to a new shortcut if you want, or download a limewire icon from http://www.kde-look.org Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
