Guest JaseP Posted December 16, 2002 Report Share Posted December 16, 2002 As for the statistics, you have got to remember that with returns and the like, the statistics are not borne out strictly of what the retailers sell. Many times, sales statistics are generated simply by the numbers of units shipped to the retailers. Companies will then fine-tune their numbers with the product registration cards or online registration available. What you need to do to help Linux is that when there is a write-in area on the product registration (online or paper), to write in Linux as the OS,... or find some other way to do so. That way, Linux starts showing up as a blip on the radar. I will personally buy a copy of NWN when the Linux client is released and make sure that I indicate to the company that I am using the product under Linux.
