humano457
Hello. After installing Mandrake 10.0 in my computer with the help of Partition Magic 8.0, when I tried to use it with LILO, it just collapsed, at the end it says , KERNEL PANIC, no init found. Then, I loaded Win XP with LILO, saw the different partition created and there are three. Linux Ext 3 SWAPSPACE Linux Ext 3 So, what should I do in order to see for the first time linux in my computer?? Luck!

duardito
a beleieve your problem, you have installed lilo in partition that doesn't have mdk 10 and probably this is your problem. you can delete one ext3 partition , only need one ext3(2 or reiserfs) and one swap. duardito
to modify lilo, enter as root, then write "vi lilo.conf" this will open text in console, then press " i " modify all you need and when you are happy with changes just press "Esc" then press " : wq+enter " this will save all modifications. if you dont want save modifications press "esc" and then " :q"
humano457
I did as you told me, but, when I type vi lilo.conf, nothing appears, as if it were a new paper, what should I do to be able to see lilo.conf as I saw it with Knoppix? Luck! Thanks!
