Buster
Hi, I have installed Mandrake 10.0 and have run into a problem with Quanta, that chrashes all the time. The error message as follows: XLib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". QGDict::hashKeyString: Invalid null key QGDict::hashKeyString: Invalid null key QGDict::hashKeyString: Invalid null key The crash occours when I press enter to start a new line, but only in one particular file. I have tried to delete this file and create a new one, but that changes nothing. I am not sure if it is relevant or not, but several programs (Quanta, KMail, etc.) cannot be started from the menu; they have to be started from a console. In 9.1 they started OK. There might be a clue in the above error message, but I am no expert on X. Anybody else that understands the error message?
armondf
Hi there, Sometimes Quanta crashes when started as root. Make sure you are running Quanta under a different user. In fact, try logging in to kde/gnome/whatever as a different (or new) user, and see if your menus are working properly. (Creating a new user is the best way to figure out where problems are.... as a whole new, fresh menu, desktop etc is created for your new user) Regards, Armond
