Guest xnevermore Posted June 21, 2004 Report Share Posted June 21, 2004 (edited) Hello. I'm dual booting Mandrake 10.0 and Windows XP and am on a cable internet connection through Comcast. I'm behind a Linksys router. Well, when I'm using Linux, I keep getting disconnected from the internet (at least four times a day) and have to power-cycle my modem and router to get back on. This does not happen under Windows XP. I stay connected for days when I'm using XP. Any idea why this happens or how to fix it? Steve Scrimpshire Posted June 22, 2004 Report Share Posted June 22, 2004 Which linksys router? Have you tried going to the web interface of the router and doing DHCP release -> renew?
