Guest Wolfzbane
I tried RedHat and Suse a few weeks ago before finally settling on Mandrake 10. I remember that in either RedHat or Suse there was a little application installed that checked your pop account for new mail and sat on your taskbar right next to the clock. I don't fully remember the name of it, but the program icon was a mailbox. Coudlve been named something like "Kmon" or "Kron".... damn, just don't remember. Anyway, I wanted to use it with Mandrake 10, can't find it. Anyone have a clue what I'm talking about? Thanks.

kungfooya
Germ, thanks for the heads up on Kshowmail, its exactly what I've been searching for. I've installed it and am have a problem with it already. After I setup all my info and hit check mail I get the following error: The server certificate failed the authenticity test (mail.xxxxxx.net) I am confused as to whats wrong here. Any ideas? Thanks, Jason

Qchem
You could also set up superkaramba, I think it has a mail checking utility.

Thanks, Jason I'm at work and don't have access to a Linux box at the moment. I've never had that error. Double-check the settings and make sure there is nothing set to ask for a authentication cert. kungfooya
I'm having another problem with kshowmail. Each time I start it, none of my email settings are retained. Is there a file somewhere that stores all this info that I can edit? Thanks! Jason
