tru64, redhat or gentoo?

btw it should be faster than double, i also have a xp-2500 that is over clocked to a 3200 and it will do stage 1 in about 60 minutes, so your amd64 3000 should be faster than that.

 

Oh yeah, have you tride fc2 on your 64? I was wondering how it would run.

I also use "nptl" if you boot with "SMP" it will be a 2.6 kernel image so it makes it easier even if you don't have a smp box.

If i ever slow down at work, i have a Sun E4500 w/ 8 procs and 8GB ram i want to play on.

 

But the boss isn't slowing down on me :o

uggh

I'd prefer a 2x E450 with 4 processors each .....+$$$$$$$$$

 

must cost a FORTUNE in support.....and that memory must have been pretty damned expensive.....

 

I know the 4500 is hotswap and dual everythng but Id prefer to buy 2xE450's at the time... (only about $20,000 each)

 

ah well /me reminices....

Your going to hate me, but we got in this week 100's of servers from a warehouse that aren't being used, 10+ 450's, pallots of 1405's, 420's. Just a ton of stuff.

Of course, there killing me with work so I can't play w/ any of it right now.
