this is what happens when I run the make command:

actually, this is just the last few lines.. there's tons more where that came from.

then I tried downloading the rpm's, and the installer saidthe signature was bad. I tried to install anyways, and nothing happened, no error messages,the box just disappeared.. so who knows what it did.

Try installing the rpm via a terminal window - it should provide a more useful error output.

I dunno, that's what the install instructions said to do. I'll try that later.. I'm not @ home. Thanks!
