I have a dell i8500, and am trying to add a few things to my modprobe.conf. namely, alias floppy off, and a statement to load the i8k drivers. but every reboot seems to clear my changes out. william Posted May 30, 2004 Report Share Posted May 30, 2004 If you want to load modules during the system loading process, you will have to insert the modules in: etc/rc.d/rc.local .
