lets-eat-gary
Hi people, I have a slight problem with one of my machine in Mandrake 10 OE. I have used the mandrake control centre to mount networlk shared directories via nfs. My problem is that 1 machine won't load unless the other machine on the network is on (it has a shared folder ) I have edited etc/fstab and taken out the lines . 1 . Is there a way to make sure that the computer will still boot is the network shared directory is not availible 2. How do i remove directories created in my /mnt/ which were created with MCC - mount points Cheers
Gowator
It should only be fstab unless mandrake wizards do it another way. The /mnt dirs can be just removed with rmdir so long as they arent marked as open. If the entries are still in the /etc/mnttab then his probably means they were shutdown uncleanly.
