Gowator
My shuttle is nowe back on MDK :D (10CE) The audio however is nforce2 and has this annoying pop pop pop .... this is really bad, but even worse it seems under heavy load like playing movies.... However, the really annoying bit is its rigged up as X:1 so I can play movies on it full screen to a wall sized projector .... and the audio is piped through the surround mixer (with a massive bass amp) every 10 secs i get pop pop which through the bass is LOUD and much louder than actually dialog .... AHHHHH A clue ? playing a second movie on X:0 increases pops, even with noaudio ??? Suggestions, desperation here ....

fissy
i only have obvious suggestions, have you turned your mixer volume down to about half and compensated by turning your speaker volume up? that gets rid of them for me. If your speakers are expensive, don't use them, those clicks and pops computers make are very damaging i'm told.
exalted
I have the same problem with my nforce 1. My first question is are you using oss or alsa? I'm having trouble getting my computer make any sound at all with the alsa drivers.

DragonMage
I have a feeling that certain version of ALSA is not as good as older version in term of sound quality. When I upgraded the pclinuxos kernel in my laptop to 2.4.26tmb kernel, I found that ALSA is very problematic, from feedback noise if mic is not muted, a crackled sound when I listen to mp3 using arts, etc.
