Darkelve
Went looking on the net again to search some more about driver support for the 2 types of wireless cards I'm using. What I found, is it too good to be true? First: http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/suse/8.2/i386....3-73.i586.html "+ Add ident info for the "Intel PRO/Wireless 2011B LAN USB Device" This is the exact device I thought was a dead weight considering Linux! Does this mean it will actually work? And it comes in RPM format for SuSe, which I just ordered. I am wondering: can I use this RPM with mandrake as well? Then I can already give it a go and test it. And then my other Wireless card, Intel Pro/Wireless 2011. Seems like the Spectrum24t driver should work here: http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/contr...DME.Spectrum24t The distribution archive spectrum24t-3.1.12-1.00.tgz contains driversource files for the 3.1.12 PCMCIA release. With this software you can build and install a Spectrum24t/IEEE PC Card driver for your specific Linux kernel. Currently Linux kernel versions 2.0.x through 2.2.x for the Intel architecture are supported Does this mean it will not work on kernel 2.6 and that I should wait some more (or install with the 2.4 kernel?). But boy does this look hopeful all of a sudden... Edit: moved from Hardware by spinynorman
