I just got a pressario laptop (2570) and would love to use linux on it. After trying several different distributions, mandrake 10.0 did the job (no crashing) and I am able to get everything to work except the 802.11b card (lan-express). Now 10 has built in drivers for this through the orinoco_pci driver. My problem is that for some reason under hardware in drakconf the card shows up correctly as prism 2.5 ... but under the network section it shows up as the ati: cpu to pci bridge. I have no clue what is going on, but it seems that the system is just looking to the wrong place. Someone please help. Jason Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
